  Collection cans in each cluster marked as follows:
   

Green: Compost scraps. All biological waste can be used, including food and meat scraps, paper, soiled diapers, tampons, bandages, grass clippings, saw dust, human manure and animal manure, etc.  Note that the compost piles need not be turned and will age an additional year to kill all pathogens.

Purple: Recyclables such as trash, plastic, metal, glass, etc. Some sorting could be done in the cluster.

Red: Unuseable garbage such as chemicals, oil etc.


  Collection Method:
   

Green: Emptied by cluster residents into their own compost piles.

Purple: Collected and later sorted and reused by the sanitation focus group.

Red : Collected and emptied into large commercial dumpster at outskirt of village to be removed by commercial carrier.
